Shalom Institute of Mental Health and Research (SIMHAR), formerly known as Shalom CareNCure, was established in 2007 at Palakkad,Kerala. The Institute was an initiative of Shalom Trust, which is engaged in social housing, education and health care. The project was envisioned by Mr. Jayson Joy MJ and Mr. Job MJ, the promoters of Shalom Trust.
Shalom CareNCure was inaugurated on 16th September 2007 with twenty bedded facilities and fifteen staff members in a rented premise at Palakkad,Kerala. It was relocated to the present facility in 2010. In 2017 it was renamed as Shalom Institute of Mental Health & Research.
Our team comprises experts from different fields, including five psychiatrists, one physician, one clinical psychologist, nine mental health professionals, seven nurses and qualified & experienced support staff. SIMHAR is a CMAI member organisation and is licensed to State Mental Health Authority, Kerala.

Shalom Institute of Mental Health and Research at Palakkad, Keralais a psychiatric hospital that also serves as a psychosocial rehabilitation and de-addiction centre. It was founded to help people suffering from stress, mental diseases, and other psychological illnesses. Our Department of Psychiatry provides comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, and therapy for people with mental health issues. We have a highly qualified psychiatrist on staffs who is dedicated to identifying and treating common mental diseases and increasing patients' well-being. Various psycho-pharmacological and psycho-therapeutic approaches are used to diagnose and treat mental problems. SIMHAR has been present in Palakkad, Kerala since 2007, offering innovative solutions, specializing in medical services for completely rejuvenating treatments. SIMHAR aims to engage with the society in multifarious ways so that everyone would equally benefit from its mental health policies; in line with its vision.
