The counselors made time for us despite their busy schedules, engaging in thorough case discussions without any rush, which was immensely valuable for my learning.As a novice intern, I needed guidance on MSE and case history, and they provided it comprehensively. My brother was treated here and overall, his experience was positive. The staff were professional and supportive, and the facility was well-maintained. He appreciated the care offered by Admin, Counsellor and Psychiatrist. While there were some areas for improvement, such as communication about progress updates, the center provided a solid foundation for his recovery. I would recommend to those seeking mental health treatment.

Our experience at shalom is good in everycase , the staffs are friendly and approachable at all the time. Speaking from personal experience, the treatment in the hospital is quite good.

Shalom was an amazing experience, especially as an intern I got to learn a lot. The people here are super nice and friendly. The opportunities provided here are exceptional (as an intern) we get to interact and bond with the inmates not as intern and patients but as a one human to another human which kinda made me feel like they were like my family, seeing them happy made me happy and it's really easy to know most inmates here as the interns get to conduct activities for different groups every week which also helps with rapport building. we also get classes by experienced counsellors and doctors which makes it easier for us to understand the condition of the inmates here as well as the topic taught well. Spending my whole day in the hospital had definitely change my perspective on so many things, I didn't just learn psychiatric stuff but being here has humbled me as a person . I definitely had a very good time being here it was indeed a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious experience.

A beautiful answer to prayer for my aunt who stayed in SIMHAR during the last few years of her life. The staff are so kind and loving. They knew how to coax my aunt to eat and take care of herself. The place is vast area maintained so beautifully. It is scenic and accessible by road, rail and air. We wish all God’s favour and grace. May this institution continue to be a blessing to many. I am very thankful to God for the Special institution in Kerala for taking care about mentally challenged people and these care givers do the needful for the clients.
